ACTA’s students were also invited to do a demonstration Musical Theatre examination at the New Zealand Speech Teachers Conference in 2000 and in 2001 tutor Janine Donnell was the first person in New Zealand to pass the Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre.

The disciplines examined in the Musical Theatre syllabus are acting, singing, and movement. The integration of these is the key feature of the syllabus. Having trained in all three disciplines herself Janine Donnell is able to provide expert tuition on a candidates entire programme to ensure an integrated and seamless end result. ACTA Principal, Doreen Donnell also works in association with Janine as an expert consultant on Advanced level Musical Theatre examinations.

Exam classes are usually once a week for half an hour. Tuition fees are based on the number of students in the class. Solo or Pair. Exam Registration Fees (payable to Trinity College, London) apply and these can be found on their website www.trinitycollege.co.uk
